About

I'm an artist who uses photography to construct emotional narratives, spanning individual scenes, portraits, and self-portraits.

Lately, I've been immersed in a project centered on staging scenes from my family's photographic archive. This project delves into issues surrounding age, gender, and the subjective nature of family photography as a portrayal of reality.

My process typically begins with research and brainstorming, drawing inspiration from artists who've tackled similar themes, such as Carrie Mae Weems, Sally Mann, and Allen Frame. I work intuitively, allowing performance and play to shape my process. This enables me to delve into the emotional truth within these images and convey my unique perspective on them. The element of surprise often accompanies the outcome, sometimes leading me down a path entirely different from my initial plan.
